It seems to Curt like he's always
been singing. His first "vocal solo " was in grade school when he sang
"Five Golden Rings!" in a high falsetto in a Christmas pageant.
Throughout his school years, he was in choirs. In high school, Curt and
neighborhood friends formed the band "Mr. Natural". Mr. Natural
performed for almost a decade playing the new rock of the era;
everything from the Beatles and Billy Joel to Queen and Blue Oyster Cult
up and down the east coast, from Connecticut to Virginia.
At the beginning of the 80"s , when new wave dance music was starting,
Curt helped form "Revolver" and later the "Killer Bees", playing music
by "The Cars" and other new wave bands. In the late 80's , Curt sang for
the so-called local super group "Ground Zero" playing radio rock and
packing the local clubs.
Curt sang for the southern rock group "Alibi" in the 90's. He also began
hosting and performing at weekly open jams at the local clubs Crackers,
Pappy's Pub, and the Washington House. Curt performed in these jams with
some of the best musicians around including Jason and Jimmy Chalfont,
the Jackson Brothers, Robby Richardson, Linda Coe, Van Showe, Mike
Miller , Denny Mickley and many others. He also sang for the Martin
Luther King Choir during this time. Both of these experiences
contributed to his growth as a singer and gave him a fresh appreciation
of other genres including Jazz, Gospel , and R&B.
Curt lives in Chambersburg, PA with his long time partner Linda.
Curt's Comment;
I have been blessed to be able to sing and perform with great people who
are also great musicians. Faze 3 is a wonderful example.
