The founding member of Faze3, Mark began playing music at the age of
four on a ukulele and toy piano. A friend introduced him to a guitar at
age twelve and he was able to play it since the uke and guitar are very
similar. He fooled around on the guitar for about a year, but gave it up
for other little kid interests. In High School, he noticed that girls
were attracted to guitar players, so he picked it up again and has been
playing ever since. In college, Mark
minored in music while studying electronics and recording engineering. (R.I.A.
certified 1978) During these years, he played with the South Wind band
and started teaching guitar in music stores. After managing a music
store at the local mall, he opened his own teaching studio and store with
a partner in Hagerstown, MD. A fire gutted the studio space, so he opened
a new store in Chambersburg, PA. After selling the store, he co-invented
a self
tuning guitar, and built a recording studio in his basement. He
began teaching at the Cumberland
Valley School of Music in 1990. He opened a new recording studio,
M&M Studio in 2004.
Mark is also a talented composer, and writes music in many styles.

Comments: I am honored to be playing
with other musicians of remarkable skill. Faze3 is one of the best rock bands I
have ever been in. |
